Controlling and research agencies are confronted ever more with problematic sampling situations. Even within production units various sampling situations may occur. In any case it is essential that a representative sample can be taken. Experience of the past few years has taught which equipment combines effectiveness and safety in one.

20.05 Check-kit Chemviro
The kit comprises equipment for sampling solid and/or dry matter up to 2 meter depth i.e. one Edelman and one Riverside auger for cohesive and loose material as well as a gouge to be used in firm material. For core sampling of aggressive sludge, pastes and water bottoms a stainless steel piston sampler forms part of the kit. For core sampling of fluids a liquid layer sampler made of teflon is included. Also for fluids with a sludge or floating layer in vessels and basins to a depth of 0.9 meter. Deep open water, monitoring wells or very aggressive fluids can be sampled with the bailer sampler. Unique is the addition to this kit of a hand-operated peristaltic pump. The peristaltic pump can, apart from use for sampling in various fluids, also be applied to detect a watery sludge at the bottom of an underground storage tank.

20.07 Flap gouge auger
The flap gouge auger is an apparatus for depth specific sampling in dry or wet firm material. The slender construction enables easy penetration of (top) layers. In this way the sample can be taken at a specific depth. The flap gouge auger is very useful for taking samples in drums, tanks, bags and big bags from for instance powder, grain, granulates (< 3 mm) and pastes.
